About ORYX Console

ORYX Console is an operations platform built for small and mid-sized Canadian service businesses. It brings into one tool what a contractor handles today in a notebook, three spreadsheets and an inbox: clients, quotes, job sites, the crew’s hours, invoicing and follow-ups.

What the platform does

The app covers the full path of a service contract: a request comes in, it becomes a quote, the accepted quote becomes a job, hours are punched from a phone at the work site, then the invoice goes out to the client. The client, for their part, opens a portal where they sign, follow the progress of their work and pay their invoices. Scheduling, time-off requests, inventory and service calls live in the same place, with no re-entry from one step to the next.

Who it is for

Trade businesses that work at the client’s place: plumbing, electrical, roofing, heating and air conditioning, excavation, landscaping, renovation and maintenance services. More precisely, teams of two to twenty people, where the owner is still on the job sites in the morning and in the books at night. The interface is designed for a desktop screen at the office and for a phone, with gloves on, at a job site.

Who builds it

ORYX Console is built by ORYX Gestion Inc., a Québec company that builds management software for the construction and service trades. The product is developed continuously, from the requests of the businesses that use it every day: a feature that does not solve a real field problem does not go into the app.
